Toronto Van Attack

The Toronto Sun is a Canadian tabloid newspaper published in Toronto, Canada by Sun Media. It was founded in 1971 and is based in the Toronto Sun Building, Toronto.

I was assigned to this project as the Lead Designer. I was in charge of translating this sad episode of Torontonians' life into a digital infographic, explaining how the events occurred in April 2018, when 10 people were killed and 16 more were horribly injured after being run over by a van.

I had to edit the killer's statement video released by the police, recorded just hours after Alek Minassian was arrested. I illustrated the Toronto map in different shades of gray to show the cruelty of the situation. In addition, I created the wireframes (mobile/desktop) for the website, I optimized the images for better performance of the site, photo editing, color correction, photomontages, QA testing, digital and print ads.
